Shared and Private Charters

Most Vicuna flights are shared charters, though given our contacts across operators all over the world we have access to pet-friendly jets to fly you pretty much anywhere.

About Shared Charters

We operate pay per seat shared charters, and to make this work for all of us, we need to make sure we sell a certain number of seats per flight. We decided early on to stick to our core routes to really minimise the risk of cancelling a flight to virtually zero – it's no good for you and it's no good for us either.

If we start a new route and we think it may be marginal sometimes, then we make it clear that it's a new route. If we do have to cancel as there are not enough passengers, then we will let you know at least a month in advance, and of course you will get a full refund.

Private Charters

With a lifetime in aviation we have contacts for every continent, bar Antarctica (it's a no-go zone for pets to keep it pristine) and we have access to super pet-friendly operators who can fly just about anywhere we are allowed.

A private charter flight is literally just for you – it is the ultimate way to travel.

One-Off Shared Charters

We have developed a fantastic tool for potential fliers to come together and see at a single glance if there is demand for a one-off charter for their route. When a flier registers their interest, it logs this on a map showing all requested routes using a traffic light system where you can see demand grow.

When this reaches critical mass we email all the potential fliers to start building a flight at a specific time that works for everyone. It's a brilliant way to bring fliers together and help you get off the ground.

Since this all started with industrious Facebook groups we decided to put this together and not make a profit on these flights – firstly as our way of giving back to the community and saying thank you, and secondly to give the flights every chance of dispatching.
