Flight Highlights: Four Cities, Three Days

A record of our early June flights, following one aircraft between New York, London, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Between the 4th and 6th of June, a single GV traced a route between New York, London, Los Angeles and San Francisco – a transatlantic crossing followed by a run down the American coast, all in one continuous journey. Some passengers flew the full length of it. Others joined or stepped off along the way, picking up the leg that suited them. The dogs, in every case, flew in the cabin beside their owners.

What follows is a small record of those three days.

The journey began at the Teterboro private lounge. No terminals, no queues. Once the passengers were dropped by their chauffeur, they had time to settle and meet all their new friends. We touched down in London on the evening of the 4th and said farewell to the newest members of the Vicuna family.

Elko, rescue dog turned internet sensation, rather stole the show, and looked entirely at home flying private. We are already looking forward to seeing him again when his European adventure comes to an end.

The aircraft departed Stansted on the morning of the 5th, full of new passengers bound for the West Coast. From New York, the aircraft carried on west, first to Los Angeles, then on to San Francisco.

We met an abundance of new friends on this leg, like Alpha, a pomsky of remarkable temperament and even more remarkable eyes and Maggie, who spent the flight alternating between her owner's lap and curled up on the seat beside her.
